Our roots are as builders, and our leadership team has hundreds of years of direct hands-on construction experience. Today, our construction capabilities extend to a robust pre-construction and estimating process, regardless of whether our team is serving as the contractor or not.

Pre-Construction & Estimating

Understanding hard costs early is perhaps the most impactful tool a development team can have in their arsenal, and having these resources in-house eliminates our need to rely solely on third parties.

Construction Management

Our team is configured to be nimble and resourceful and can provide construction management services via a GMP or lumpsum contract, controlling risk and financial exposure for our investors.

For projects where we elect not to self-perform, out construction team is deeply involved in construction operations, means and methods, and change management to ensure accurate and reliable information, documentation, and cost control.

Civil Construction

Our civil construction group was born out of a need for independence from a limited pool of site contractors, and rapidly escalating costs.

The civil team handles all sorts of complex sites but specializes in de-risking complex infill sites and sites with unique civil requirements such as seawalls, revetments, ground improvements, soil retention, or other complex logistics.

Construction Technology

Our construction groups use the latest in construction technology to document the project, manage insurance and loss risk, and to provide clear and useful information to our management and operations teams.

Technology includes BIM/VDC coordination, Procore, QR Code Warranty Resources, StructionSite, DroneDeploy, OxBlue, Pillar, Stealth and more.
