A 49-unit luxury residential development is coming to Main Street in Wilmington.

The Procopio Companies announced last week it secured a $14 million construction loan and recently broke ground on the project at 635 Main St.

Once complete, Lume, a three-story, 49-unit luxury residential development will include 74,000 square-foot of multifamily housing with 39 apartment units and 10 townhomes. According to a company release, the $20 million project is just a short walk from the Wilmington MBTA train station, sits near the junction of I-93 and I-95 with easy access to I-90, Rte. 38 and I-495.

“After several years in the pre-construction phase, it’s rewarding for us to break ground at Lume and get to work developing the property with financial backing from Salem Five,” Procopio Vice President of Construction Greg Procopio said in the release. “As a company dedicated to creating distinctive places to live, we believe this transit-oriented development will further activate this growth corridor in Wilmington.”

Lume is expected to be completed in the fall of 2022.  [ SOURCE ARTICLE ]
